YMA offering Krav Maga classes for adults and teens Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays. All classes are designed to welcome new members at all time. No previous Martial Arts experience needed.
Monday and Wednesday Krav Maga classes are 50 min length and its strictly Krav Maga (which means - class starts with a quick warm up, quick power training then straight Krav Maga Drills followed by Self Defense.
Thursday Krav Maga it's a 60 min class (and incorporates strength training like; medicine ball, jump ropes, kettle bells, dumb bells, strength ropes, pull up bars etc.. fallowed by either boxing drills using heavy bags or Krav Maga Drills using shields followed by Self Defense. This class is a High Intensity Workout.
Beginners and advance members will all fallow the 1st part of the class which includes (warm up, stretching, power training, Kav Maga drills) and the second part of the class everyone will be separated by levels. Each level will learn their own self defense based on their level.
Krav Maga /krɑːvməˈɡɑː/in Hebrew: means "contact combat" is a noncompetitive eclectic self-defense system developed in Israel that involves striking techniques, wrestling and grappling. Krav Maga is known for it's focus on real-world situations and extremely efficient, against brutal counter-attacks.It was derived from street-fighting skills .
Krav Maga has a philosophy emphasizing threat neutralization, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression. Krav Maga is used by
Israeli Defense Forces, both regular and special forces, and several closely related variations have been developed and adopted by law enforcement and
intelligence organizations. A key principle of Krav Maga is finishing a fight as quickly as possible and therefore all attacks are aimed towards the most
vulnerable parts of the body (e.g., face, neck, groin, knee, eyes, joints).
Students are taught to respond to attacks in the quickest and most efficient way; a common lesson taught is 'always use the nearest tool for the job'. This basically means use whichever limb is closest to your attacker at the time and whichever feels most natural. Basic training entails a warm-up, learning essential pressure points, and learning how to approach and control an opponent using force.
Students learn how to execute strikes including various punches, hammer fists, elbows, knees and kicks. Students learn defenses against take-downs, chokes, bear-hugs, arm bars, and other possible attacks.
Training also includes learning to defend against various weapons such as knives, bats, guns etc. Pressure drills in which students engage with multiple attackers are also common. Other training exercises and pressure drills include students closing . Men and women generally undergo the same drills .It has no sporting federation, and there are no official uniforms (such as gi). Usual training attire consists of a t-shirt and loose fitting trousers. Most organizations recognize progress through training with rank badges, different levels, and belts.

* 360' blocks against all direction attacks
* Learn how to fall, stand up fast run away in case you are push to ground
* Defend a choke while pushed to the ground and attacker sits on top
*Defend Front kick directed to the groin or torso
* Defend an elbow strike to the face
* Learn how to deflect Knife ATTACKS form front, side, back.
* Defend an overhead attack against a stick or Bat.
etc...... 4MONTS LATER TEST IF PASSSES MOVE TO LEVEL 1
Every level have a complete different self defense curriculum. Higher the level more advance self defenses will be taught.
